Ladies wearing trousers is a choice and not a sin

Ladies wearing of trousers is a choice and not a sin...

where the bible talks about "The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God" in Deuteronomy 22:5 (this is where most critics of females wearing trousers base their arguement on);


the problem here is the newer translations that seems to suggest that the instruction is a general one..


1stly, 'the woman' here is generic, meaning 'any woman', shall not wear that which belongs to 'a man' - it's personal now - meaning that my sister or any woman at all shouldn't wear my trouser, but she can wear hers if she owns one. likewise, i could decide to wear a skirt if i bought or owned one.....


2ndly, the bible didn't mention trousers as general men's wear...that's our own fashion for today. cos bible days the male priests, prophets and soldiers wore robes and skirts! remember Aaron's garment? does the helm of Jesus garment sound familiar? not the helm of his trousers. OK.

In Scotland today, Gypsy men wear skirts as their everyday dress code...likewise Ijaw men in south east Nigeria.

3rdly, we need to understand that those laws and ordinances in the old testament were given to a certain people at a certain time for a certain purpose.

Paul says that the law is good if a man would use it lawfully, meaning it could be used unlawfully; so how? before the slave trade was abolished it was legal to own a slave, but today, to enslave someone would be a crime. or, an advocate of sharia law who tries to enforce that law in a secular state would not be doing the right thing. so likewise, the bible says in 1Timothy 8-11:
8But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;... See more
9Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
10For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
11According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.......

so guys, if you have a sister or friend who likes to wear trousers, pls don't stop her

The Glory of Zion

and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.

and his glory appears over you.

to you the riches of the nations will come.

young camels of Midian and Ephah.
And all from Sheba will come,
bearing gold and incense
and proclaiming the praise of the LORD.

7 All Kedar's flocks will be gathered to you,
the rams of Nebaioth will serve you;
they will be accepted as offerings on my altar,
and I will adorn my glorious temple.
